Information:This is a day camp opportunity for children rising 2nd through 7th grade and Teen works for ages 13 - 17 (must have completed 7th – 11th grade). The camp will provide instruction and creative experiences in acting, singing, dancing, and all the technical aspects of theater including costume design, sound, set construction and lighting.
Enrollment is limited to 30 campers
Registration Fee: $200 ($175 if postmarked by May 2). Second family member $175 ($150 if postmarked by May 2). Checks are payable to Henderson-Vance Downtown Development Commission (HVDDC). Website: www.hendersondowntown.us

Information:The Henderson-Vance Downtown Development Commission is staging Henderson’s International Summerfest Crafts & Beer Festival with performances by the Little German Band and Dancers on Saturday, June 16th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. downtown.
The DDC is also inviting food vendors, arts and crafts vendors and businesses to participate in the festival. Children’s games, including a moonwalk, an obstacle course and a slide, will be featured, too. Information on how to become a vendor and/or a sponsor for the event can be obtained by contacting Phil Lakernick at the DDC office at City Hall on Rose Avenue. The parade route goes from the Dabney Drive Extension to Garnett Street and will end at Rose Avenue.
